By gas turbine power plant we refer to a simple cycle power plant or a combined cycle power plant that consists of rotary internal combustion engines fired by natural gas, the major output of such power plants is electricity, it also generates considerable heat, which can be utilised in a secondary process to produce more electricity or the steam used in sterilizing medical equipment, dry cleaning operations etc.

Excess power generated cannot be resold to outside third-party clients (can only be used on proprietor grounds), but could be used to supply ‘free electricity as part of a CSI Strategy for Community).
